This is a very common type of damage. When the wheel rubs up against a curb it gets "curbrash." It is unsightly and totally repairable!
Sometimes the hit can be severe enough to crack the rim of the wheel. A hit such as this generally destroys the tire beyond repair. But the wheel... we can fix that.
A solid edge hit from a stone or similar road hazard can cause a piece of the wheel to simply part ways and head (traitorously) for the weeds, never to be seen again.
We can remake the renegade piece and make your wheel whole again.
When the clearcoat on machined wheels fails (for whatever reason), the aluminum underneath is vulnerable to the elements. Road-salt, rain, and other contaminants find their way under the edge of the failed clearcoat and cause the metal to corrode. The corrosion spreads and lifts more of the clearcoat off the metal and just makes matters worse.
It can spread like a virus and looks just as bad. But there is healthy metal underneath and we can bring the wheel back to life.
A pothole is an effective instrument for cracking a wheel. Don't let these road hazards take your wheels from you. We will straighten the hit, weld the crack, and repair the finish.
Your damaged wheel can be good as new. Just ask.
